Eastall Coil Car System

Requirements :

A hands-free system for moving coils of various sizes from a Coil Tilter to an Uncoiler that is simple to use with controls that can be operated by a single person.

Summary :

The Eastall Coil Car was successfully conceived as a 3D image and trialled on-screen, using video technology, to resolve and minimise prototype problems prior to actual manufacture.

The Coil Car system is based on the use of a Coil Car and rails to move coils from a Coil Tilter, to an Uncoiler. This innovative design incorporates flexibility thorugh features such as stabilizers to accommodate coils of different heights, and a very simple push-button control system that can be operated by a single person.
