Eastall Pacman Coil Tilter

Requirements :

The Pacman Style Coil Tilter allows for incremental adjustments in the angle of the coil. Simplifying the operation to push-button controls and incorporating forklift spacers enhances the overall benefits of this machine and reduces the need for cranes and additional personnel.

Summary :

This project required us to modify an existing design for a Coil Tilter to suit a refined set of operational requirements from the Customer.

The largest modification to our standard Coil Tilter design was the requirement that the coil be able to be incrementally tilted and stopped at any angle within 90 degrees. This required a 'pacman' style framework to allow for a rolling mechanism to work.

We also modified the base of the Coil Tilter so that it would have built-in forklift tynes. Our Customer can not only load and unload the Tilter with ease, they can easily move it around their production area with a forklift.

Similar to previous projects, we used as many standard components as possible to ensure easy maintenance, and high quality motors and electrical parts sourced locally to avoid costly delays in parts replacement in later years.
